The Orion is a rosette door handle lock with a bold, multi-plane pyramid-faceted lever — a more dramatic, three-dimensional geometric cut than the flatter diamond-cut lever on our Guardian. It’s the only rosette-style lock in the range offered in a choice of two finishes: Black and Antique Brass.
Key Features of Geometric Faceted Door Handle Lock
- Bold, multi-plane pyramid-faceted lever design
- Square lever rosette with a separate square cylinder plate
- Available in Black or Antique Brass finish
- Sharp, architectural geometric silhouette
- Compact rosette footprint compared to full mortise sets
- Suited to standard interior rosette door prep
Why Choose This Product
The Orion’s lever is cut across multiple angled planes that converge toward the edge, giving it a more sculptural, three-dimensional look than a flat diamond-cut lever. It’s also the only rosette lock in the range available in two finishes, so it can match either a dark, matte hardware scheme or a warmer brass-toned one without changing the design itself.
Best For / Not For
Best for: Contemporary interiors wanting a strong geometric statement, bedroom and office doors, buyers wanting to match either black or brass fixtures elsewhere in the home.
Not recommended for: Main entry doors — rosette locks are built for interior doors, not high-security main entrances. Also not the fit if you want a plain, unfaceted lever — see Shield instead.

Compatibility
Fits standard interior door prep for square rosette-style handle sets, on wooden doors, left or right opening. Not suited for glass or sliding doors. If replacing an existing rosette lock, confirm the backplate size matches — send a photo on WhatsApp to check.
Applications
Suited to interior doors wanting a bold geometric statement — bedrooms, home offices, and living areas in either black-hardware or brass-toned interiors. Works well as a matching set across multiple interior doors.
Buying Guide
If you want a full mortise set (backplate + latch + cylinder in one long plate), choose from our Mortise range (Nova, Ember, Onyx, Sentinel) instead. If you want a flatter, more restrained diamond-cut lever in black only, see the Guardian. If you want a plain, unfaceted round lever, see the Shield. The Orion is the boldest, most three-dimensional design of the three, and the only one offered in two finishes.
Common mistake: Ordering the wrong finish without checking existing door hardware tone — Black suits matte, dark hardware schemes; Antique Brass suits warm-toned fixtures elsewhere in the room.

Installation Guide
- Confirm your door has (or can have) standard rosette-lock prep — separate holes for lever rosette and cylinder plate
- Mount the cylinder plate and lever rosette in their respective positions
- Attach the lever and backplate on both sides of the door
- Test the key, latch, and lever operation before finalizing
- Professional installation recommended for correct alignment
Maintenance
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth — avoid abrasive cleaners which can dull either finish. A drop of light lubricant in the key cylinder every few months keeps the action smooth.
Frequently Asked Questions
What finishes are available?
Black and Antique Brass — select your preferred finish before ordering.
How is this different from Guardian?
Guardian has a flatter diamond-cut lever in matte black only. Orion has a bolder, multi-plane pyramid-faceted lever and is available in Black or Antique Brass.
Is this suitable for a main entrance door?
No, rosette locks are designed for interior doors. A mortise or higher-security lock is better suited for main entrances.
Is this a complete set with keys?
Yes — lever, rosette, separate cylinder plate, latch, and a matching set of keys are all included.
Can this be installed on any door?
It needs standard rosette-lock door prep (separate cutouts for the rosette and cylinder plate). If replacing an existing lock, confirm your current prep matches.
