Two surfaces, two methods. Wipe the brushed plates and lever faces along the grain with a dry soft cloth. The polished chamfer wipes clean with the same cloth, but never take an abrasive pad to it — the whole effect depends on that cut face staying mirror-smooth, and a scratched chamfer scatters light instead of reflecting a clean line. Keep metal polish off the brushed areas entirely.
